Purpose:
This position is a two-year commitment leading to a full-time teaching position.
This is a non-contracted position, therefore there is no expectation of employment beyond the school year if the candidate fails to obtain the required teaching credentials.
This position may also be reassigned to another campus due to enrollment and staffing adjustments.
Associate Teachers will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Teachers in this role will serve as the Teacher of Record for a classroom.
Teachers will receive oversight and the instructional planning and practices for content area instruction.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Agrees to pursue Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of subject matter in assigned position
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Experience preferred but not required
Hiring administrators review applications, interview, and recommend for hire.
Non-Contractual Agreement
187 Days
Salary Range: $50,000 Minimum & Maximum
Salary is prorated based upon 187 physical days worked. If working less than 187 days, the salary will be less than $50,000 accordingly.
